Portugal is currently a tourist paradise, and exploring it in a 4×4 highlights the incredible contrasts of its landscapes, from lush green mountains to the brilliant blue of the sea.
The route begins in the district of Bragança, near the border with Zamora, and follows the Spanish border, where we can visit fortified towns and castles.
We’ll reach ancient Olissipo, the Phoenicians’ “charming port,” now the country’s capital, Lisbon. From there, a splendid route through the nearby mountains will lead us to discover iconic places such as Sintra, Cabo da Roca – the westernmost point of continental Europe – and the Boca do Inferno.
In total, we’ll cover more than 1,000 km of fun, sightseeing, beautiful landscapes, culture, charming villages, beaches, and tradition, mainly along trails that showcase the best of this incredible region. Each night, we’ll stay in hotels, with no camping.
WE OFFER YOU A TWO-DAY EXTENSION ON THE COSTA VICENTINA:
During this extension, we will visit beaches and cliffs (70% road and 30% trails).
May 3: Nazaré – Vila Nova de Milfontes (Bed and breakfast)
May 4: Vila Nova de Milfontes – Albufeira (Bed and breakfast)
May 5: Albufeira – Spain
